Unto you this child was born
You give them love
keep them safe and warm
As they grow you teach them well
You do your best
only time will tell
Who they are and will become
Did you have any influence
on your daughter or son
For are we born who we are
With our destiny
written in the stars
Or were we molded
by our teachers
by our family
or books and preachers
Could it be a combination of it all
And that is what makes us whole
